WSLL 2009 Registration Information

We hope you can join us this season for exciting West Springfield Little League action. Hundreds of boys and girls ages 5-12 from Springfield, Burke and Fairfax Station annually celebrate America's pastime on the area's Little League fields with plenty of camaraderie and stimulating experiences. It's fun for the whole family. Go WSLL!

IMPORTANT UPDATES:

1. Sign-ups this Saturday, Jan. 10 will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Irving Middle School.
2. Due to a last-minute conflict, our final day of registration has moved from Saturday, Jan. 17 to Saturday, Jan. 24.
3. WSLL will not do on-line registration this year because our software vendor was not able to meet our needs. Therefore we will do *in person* registration as we have done in the past.

Is Your Daughter Interested in Fastpitch Softball?

The Northern Virginia Girls Softball Association (NGVSA) is devoted exclusively to Fastpitch Softball for girls. NVGSA offers both House League and Select levels of play for girls ages 5 to 18. Representatives from the league will be present at WSLL's registration at Washington Irving on Sat. 1/3, 1/10 and 1/24. For more information, check out their website.

Manager Applications Being Accepted

For the Spring 2009 season WSLL will need approximately 85 managers and more than 250 volunteers to be assistant coaches. We still need many managers at the 5T, TBall, and A levels, and a few at the AA, and AAA levels.

Buying a Baseball Bat for Christmas - READ THIS

Beginning with the 2009 season, non wood bats used in Little League Baseball shall be printed with a BPF (bat performance factor) of 1.15 or less.
